Rupa Bajwa

Rupa Bajwa was born in 1976, in Amritsar, where she is currently based. She has recently won the Grinzane Cavour Prize 2005 for Young New Authors and the 2005 Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Book (Eurasia Region) for The Sari Shop, which was also longlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction 2004.
